'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McIndoe On Team's Confidence

The Robins could top the table with a win against Hull on Saturday, Michael McIndoe reveals why they've always been confident of winning automatic promotion.

'The scary thing is, when the season started we were after promotion, not just staying up. I couldn`t say that at the start of the season but now, because of the position we are in, I can reveal that we knew we could get promoted. 80 per cent of the squad knew it. I would not have signed for this club if I didn`t think we could do it.

'I know my football, I'm not stupid and I knew this club had been pushing for League One promotion for the last seven and a half years. What other club has done that? To be so consistent at the top of League One for so many years takes some doing. Lee Trundle, Marvin Elliott, Ivan Sproule, Dele Adebola and Nick Carle are all players who have come in over the last season to help that push for the Premiership. The clubs' actions show that we are punching our weight, not above or below.'
