Mifsud to be sent from Coventry?

Mifsud to be sent from Coventry?

Bristol City today confirmed rumours that they have had a bid accepted for Maltese international Michael Mifsud. This was a response to the news being released (perhaps prematurely) by Coventry City.

The Maltese international scored 17 goals for a struggling Coventry side last season having signed for them in January 2007. He is 5'5' but makes up for it by being a 'fox in the box'. He linked up well with Dele Adebola at Coventry but has not performed well since Dele joined the Robins. This may have had a bearing on his decision to talk to Bristol City. Norwich City and Crystal Palace were rumoured to be competing for his signature.

The deal is far from done, however, with talks about to be entered into to agree personal terms with the player and presumably his agent. Bristol City would usually have waited until the deal was done but the fee agreement was publicised by Coventry City and therefore Bristol City felt obliged to reciprocate.

what is the fee agree for mifsud? im abit gutted as we have just spent 2m+ of hendo from watford. mifsud is a dwarf but nevertheless a great player would have prefered him at the lane instead. the fee will be really interesting to find out.

Officially undisclosed but it appears that Emad Meteb is being sent to Coventry in the metaphorical sense and his fee was £1.5million. This is the figure we are rumoured to have offered for Mifsud. In many ways it is a better deal because he has a proven record when playing with Dele Adebola. Dele the ball winner and Misfud the fox in the box. Misfud scored 13 league goals with Adebola and only once after he left!! Good business for Coventry too as they got him for free and it will free up their wage structure for the demands of Clinton Morrison and the like.

A great foil for the big/small man upfront combo.

Your correct Blade, you are the more attractive, well equipped club. dont worry about Cider, he is depressed because his hairline is receding more and more as time goes on, just like the 82ers chances of promotion next season.

Gutted at first 1889, but then I heard about how he agreed terms, passed a medical, was all set to sign and then started demanding goal bonuses and premier league sale clauses etc etc etc. Gary Johnson rightly showed him the door.
