Johnson Reflects On The Season
Gary Johnson has cited points dropped against promotion chasing sides as the reason his side missed out on the play-offs this season.
The Bristol City manager had hoped his side would make the play-offs again this season, as they did last season, but they had to be content with a 10th place finish. Johnson feels they've been unlucky at times but thinks dropping too many points against the top sides costs them: 'The wheels came off, definitely,' Johnson told the media. 'We have had games we could have picked up more points from. We have been a little bit unlucky in a few.
'But over the course of the season we haven't beaten enough teams in the top 10.
'In my time here only two teams have beaten us twice in a season and that is Birmingham and Burnley.'
Do you agree with Gary Johnson's assessment of Bristol City's season?
