'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City complete Haynes capture

As expected, Bristol City have this afternoon completed the signing of Danny Haynes from Ipswich Town.

The 21 year old passed a medical, agreed personal terms and signed a three year deal with City, making the player Gary Johnson`s fifth signing of the summer.

And the new man is keen to get a regular place in the starting eleven each week as soon as possible.

'I like Bristol City as a club, I think this is a fresh change for me and I'm confident I can do well here,' Haynes told the club's offical website.

'The move has come around quite quickly but I'm delighted with it. Roy Keane has brought in new signings and has plans for other people, so this change is right for me.

'I've been at Ipswich for five years and their coaching staff have done a lot for me. It was hard to leave, but I'm sure this move to Bristol City is the one I need at this time in my career.

'I'm very excited about the move and I'm glad it's all sorted now.

'I played a lot of games from the bench for Ipswich and I want to be starting games, from the start of the season right through until the end.'
