McIndoe deal is off

It now looks like Michael McIndoe`s proposed move to Sheffield United has fallen through.

City belied a deal would go through, even though there had been problems, but today the deal was officially called dead by Blades boss Kevin Blackwell when he confirmed that he would almost certainly not be pressing ahead with the deal.

Blackwell told the club's official website: 'It looks that way but now we have Kyel Reid already signed and Julian Gray on trial and looking useful, so the situation is not as bad as it was - and last season we had virtually nothing down the left.'

This has something to do with Gary Johnson talking to the media before the deal had been signed & sealed. Blackwell was clearly annoyed that the transfer wasn't kept confidential, it has nothing to do with any shortage of cash. If Johnson wanted to off lpoad McIndoe, it has backfired.
