CITY FROM THE BLUE HALF
So here we are, another season coming to an end and City sit just six points outside the play offs. City are also second in the form table having only lost one of their last eight games, all a little bit too late. Would you be in the play offs if Tinnion had gone say one month earlier? Tinnion was never the right man for the job in the first place.
So realistically you need to be looking to next season, many talk of huge changes at Ashton Gate, something that does not always work. Rovers have now had five seasons of rebuilding, seeing an abundance of players coming and going at the beginning of each season. At the start of each season I think to myself this is the season to finally get out of this League, but it has never worked out, too many new players each season having to all gel together. Steve Lansdown has made it clear that City cannot stay in League One much longer and I really don't think City can afford to change things too much.
Its clear to see that City need a striker to go along side the impressive Steve Brooker and maybe with just three or four more players City might have a squad strong enough to challenge for promotion next season?
