SWINDON INTERESTED IN TRUNDLE DEAL

Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson has confirmed that he is interested in signing Bristol City reject Lee Trundle.

Trundle has no future at Ashton Gate after being told he is free to leave by boss Gary Johnson, Trundle himself has expressed a desire to return to Swansea City.

But it`s Swindon who are the first club to express an interest in the player, although they might be looking at a loan deal for the 32 year old because their financial situation would not allow them to bring him in on a permanent basis.

It would be a good thing to get rid of Trundle, he can`t even return to training after a break looking fit, so one would have to question his attitude towards playing for the team.

'Talks are ongoing, so we'll have to wait and see if anything can develop,' Wilson told the Swindon Advertiser.

'We've had numerous conversations with the club. The boy is under contract for another two years I think, so that is a major stumbling block.

'But we'll keep beavering away and see if we can get something to come into fruition. I know we would like it to be permanent, but I don't know at the moment.'
