Whinging Warnock Escapes Punishment

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock will not be punished by the Football Association for his comments after the game with Bristol City, but the same body have written to Simon Jordan demanding that he explains the comments he made after the game.

Palace were denied a goal by referee Rob Shoebridge during Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship match which left Warnock and Jordan whinging their heads off.

It is understood that Warnock's comments were deemed as criticising the performance of the referee rather than a personal attack on Shoebridge.

The exceptional circumstances of the 'goal' were also thought to be taken into account.
