Five Called Up For Internationals

Five Called Up For Internationals

City's Jock trio Paul Hartley, David Clarkson and Jamie McAllister have been called up for Scotland's last-ditch World Cup Qualifiers against Holland and Macedonia next month.

Despite receiving a 4-0 hammering against group whipping boys Norway in Oslo a few weeks ago, the three City boys have all been retained in George Burley's squad.

The game against Macedonia is do or die for the Scots' World Cup hopes as anything less than a win will put qualification beyond their reach.

Lewin Nyatanga and Gavin Williams are also expected to be named in the Welsh squad for their World Cup Qualifier with Russia in Cardiff.

James Wilson and Christian Ribeiro are once again in the Wales Under-21 squad for September's Euro Championships Qualifier with Italy at Swansea's Liberty Stadium.
