Haynes: "The Lads Are Flying Now"
Danny Haynes reckons Tuesday's win over Plymouth has restored confidence among the City players.
City scored three goals for the first time since Boxing Day 2008 to end a three-game winless run.
Haynes opened the scoring in the West Country 'derby' with his second goal in City colours and the ex-Ipswich flyer claims the victory will bring the best out of the squad over the coming months.
"There is a feeling that things are finally starting to come together for us," Haynes told the Bristol Evening Post.
"We knew we needed to score more goals and the fact we were struggling to go beyond one per game was playing on our minds.
"It was costing us points and we were drawing games we should have been winning. But this result changes everything.
"Three different players have got on the scoresheet, we've scored more than in any other game this season and confidence will be high after a win like that."
City head to Barnsley on Saturday hoping to end a winless streak away from Ashton Gate which dates back to February and cement our place in and around the Play-Offs.
"We're in a good position in the table and the lads are now flying. It makes all the difference when you feel confident about what you are doing," Haynes added.
