Big John Joins Wycombe
Bristol City have farmed out big striker John Akinde on loan to Wycombe for a month.
The former Ebbsfleet target man enjoyed a successful three-month stint at Adams Park at the end of last season, bagging 7 goals in 11 starts as the Chairboys won promotion from League Two.
Gary Johnson explained the move to bcfc.co.uk: "He's going there for a month to get experience and get some match time under his belt.
"He enjoyed his first spell with Wycombe, helping them to promotion, and they're keen to utilise his ability again.
"It's ideal for us because we haven't got another game for two weeks with the international break, and Wycombe have a few midweek matches coming up - so he'll get plenty more games there at the moment.
"Of course, after the initial month we have the option of extending it with a 24-hour recall option, so this deal suits everyone really."
Akinde came back this season looking bigger and hungrier, featuring in the opening month of the campaign.
But the arrivals of Lithuanian lump Andrius Velicka and Costa Rican striker Alvaro Saborio pushed Big John back down the pecking order.
