Ribs Reflects On Whirlwind Week

City starlet Christian Ribeiro has taken time out of his hectic week to reflect on events at Ashton Gate over the last seven days.

Frozen out by previous manager Gary Johnson, Ribs, 21, finally made his debut in front of 20,000 fans in last weekend's televised game with Newcastle and he followed that up with a Man of the Match performance in Tuesday's win over Barnsley.

Ribeiro revelaed on his blog: "I`m just glad to have had the opportunity to play really - it`s been a long time coming. I just want to show everyone that I am good enough to play at this level and hopefully benefit the team.

"In the two games I`ve played in we`ve played really well, so I`ve had only positives so far. I`m sure at some point I`ll not play so well and we`ll lose but that`s part and parcel of football,"
the pragmatic Welsh Under-21 international continued.

"It`s been a very odd time. Gary Johnson was in charge here for such a long time that it felt a bit like there was no way other than Gary Johnson`s way. People move on and it`s a new era for Bristol City."
