Millen Swoops For Sawyer

Caretaker boss Keith Millen has made his first move in the transfer market, bringing in Plymouth full-back Gary Sawyer on loan until the end of the season.

Woefully short on numbers at the back, Millen made his move for the 24-year old left-back in the absence of Jamie McAllister and Lewin Nyatanga.

Millen told bcfc.co.uk: "We were told about Gary in January after he had turned a contract offer down at Plymouth.

"His agent watched us play on Tuesday and noticed we were short defensively. He contacted us, we spoke to Plymouth and everything's fallen into place since.

"Gary's ready to go straight away and he'll be in the squad for the Peterborough match.

"There's been a lot of hard work put in and I think the timing of this has worked out perfectly. He'll be a good addition to the squad,"
Millen added.

Sawyer has made 32 appearances for Argyle this season, including one against us at Ashton Gate in October, and is out of contract at the end of the season.
