Millen Urges One Last Push

Millen Urges One Last Push

City caretaker boss Keith Millen refuses to give up hope of his side finishing in a top six place and has charged his players to win the last three games of the season.

When Millen took over from Gary Johnson, City looked more likely to be in relegation trouble than be an outside candidate for a play of place, but 14 points from a possible 18 has turned that around, and Millen is asking for one last push.

City have Scunthorpe, Derby and Blackpool to play and feels that if his side could pull off three wins, then they could end up in a play off place.

He told the Evening Post: 'We don't want to sell ourselves short.

'We could have settled back and rested on our laurels after we passed 52 points to make us safe from relegation, but we have not allowed that to happen.

'There is a real hunger among the players and a determination not to be beaten. They are a happy group and a confident group.

'It has been great to put a run like this together and, given the form we are in, it's a shame we don't have a few more games left.

'But you never can tell in football and, if we go on and get our maximum points total, there is a chance. That is what we have to aim for.'
