Dave Kitson and Ivar Ingimarsson?

It's only a rumour circulating the papers and pubs at the moment, but it is being reported that Steve Coppell will be going after Dave Kitson and Ivar Ingimarsson as his first signings when he takes over at the end of the season.

Quite how they know this is remarkable seeing as he is away with his family at the moment, but he has worked with both players before and they could both become available over the summer.

Central-defender Ingimarsson, 32, has served under Coppell at Brentford, Brighton and Reading, while Kitson had his best spell of his career while at the Madejski Stadium with the new City boss.

Ingimarsson has been offered a one-year deal to stay with the Royals, but he wants a two-year extension, while Kitson is out of favour at Stoke. And he did also cost the Potters 5 million.

Sonko and Lita the next to be linked perhaps?

Sonko would be a great signing but Ingimarsson? Not for me at 32 going on 33. We do need a right-footed centre-half to replace Carey but the Icelander's a bit old for that really. Also think we need to sort the supply before going after another striker like Kitson. And as for Lita, he can do one... :@
