Not that it means as much as the real thing but Vital Bristol City readers have named Nicky Maynard as our Player of the Year for the 2009/10 season.
Maynard, 23, earned a massive 62% of the vote to beat off Cole Skuse (24%) and Paul Hartley (14%) for the gong.
It's been a stop-start season for the ex-Crewe youngster this year, where he's enjoyed two real purple patches to bag 20 goals with one game left to play.
Despite not playing to Maynard's strengths at times, the vast majority of his goals this term have been spectacular, including the Boxing Day goal at QPR which earned him the 'Goal of 2009' award.
Voting on our website closed at midday today (29 April) ahead of the more official club deadline tomorrow night (midnight).
But rest assured, you can still get your official votes in on time. To vote simply text 60060 with the following format:-
Player of the Year
CITY + POY + chosen player's squad number (ie. CITYPOY10 to vote for Maynard) to 60060.
Young Player of the Year
CITY + POY + chosen young player's squad number (ie. CITYYPOY19 to vote for Ribeiro) to 60060.
Congratulations to Nicky from all of us here at Vital and lets hope he's still banging them in for us next season.
