Ribs Looks Forward To New Era

Young City starlet Christian Ribeiro has spoken of his excitement at working under Steve Coppell next term.

Ribeiro, 22, finally broke into the City team towards the end of the season and is already looking to build on that under Coppell in pre-season.

"Steve Coppell has played at the highest level and coached at the highest level so it's an excellent appointment," the Welsh U-21 star revealed in his latest blog www.thetalkofsport.com reflecting back on the season.

"Everyone's so excited to work with him. He's very intelligent and tactically minded and I think he's going to improve a lot of the players here.

"Next year I'm sure we'll have a really good season. With the good little run at the end of this campaign it gives us all a real lift going into the next.

"I would've thought there will be some Premier League class players coming in and we're all really confident.

"Everyone's really excited to be a part of Bristol City at the moment."
