'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gladiator The City Fan?

With the ever-growing 'army' of celebrities pledging their allegiance to the City, arguably the biggest name of them of all to step forward is Russell Crowe!

The Antipodean star, who shot to fame playing 'Maximus Decimus Meridius' in the film Gladiator, revealed Bristol City are one of two English football teams he keeps an eye on.

Crowe, who is also a massive rugby league, union and cricket fan, told The Sun on Monday: "I have two English teams - Leeds United and Bristol City.

"I started following Leeds in the early Seventies and Bristol after meeting a friend in the late Eighties who loves them.

"Both teams can be heartbreakers, but that's the joy of sport,"
he said.
