'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coppell Calls For Total Commitment

Bristol City boss Steve Coppell has demanded that his players get 100% behind him and give everything for the club this coming season, or they can leave now.

Coppell is not going to stop players who want to leave the club, two of the current squad are being linked with other teams, Nicky Maynard and Bradley Orr being the two in demand.

Speaking to the Bristol Evening Post Coppell said: 'I cannot legislate for players who may want to leave. That does not just apply to Bradley, but to every other player.

'When a new manager comes in, some people may think it is time to move on. That sometimes happens to a new manager and there is nothing I can do about that.

'I do not want anyone here unless they want to be here. I want it to be that, when I speak to all the players on July 1, they are here because they want to be. The only way this club is going to get promoted is with a squad of players who are totally committed to the cause and want to be here.'
