No Truth In Hartley Reports

No Truth In Hartley Reports

Bristol City say that the report in the newspapers about midfielder Paul Hartley being on the verge of a move to Scotland are well wide of the mark.

The 33-year-old Scotland international has been at Ashton Gate since 2009 and according to the club, he is not moving back to his former club Hearts.

Chief executive Colin Sexstone denies that there has been any contact between the two clubs by telling the official website: 'I'm not sure where these stories come from but people are playing with words and getting it wrong.

'There has been absolutely no dialogue between Bristol City and Hearts and I can say categorically that Paul is not on the transfer list. He remains an important member of the squad.'
