'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wilson Picked Up By Colchester

City full back Brian Wilson who was one of nine players released by the club this summer has teamed up once again with old manager John Ward, this time at Colchester.

Wilson worked under Ward at Cheltenham but his days at Ashton Gate looked numbered after only making three league starts and one cup sub appearance.

Ward said: "Brian is a hungry young player with a great football career ahead of him.

"He is a quick player and he`s extremely adaptable.

"He has also played 50 or 60 games in the Championship so we`ve got a player with some experience.

"There`s a variety of positions that Brian can come into.

"The idea was to get him in before saying, 'right, there`s your position Brian.`"
