Stead Snubs City For Blackpool Talks

Ipswich Town striker Jon Stead has snubbed a move to Ashton Gate.

City had a £225,000 bid for the 27-year-old accepted by the Tractor Boys only for Stead to reject the move, despite being well down the pecking order at Portman Road.

Stead is believed to have rejected the move after receiving a last-minute offer to join Premier League new boys Blackpool.

Last season Stead spent time at Coventry City on loan where he made ten appearances and found the net twice.

Stead joined Ipswich for £600,000 from Sheffield United last summer.
