Millen Still Confident Over Targets

New Bristol City manager Keith Millen is still looking to bring in fresh faces before Saturday`s game with Barnsley.

Millen, who took over from Steve Coppell after he resigned from the manager`s post, has something of a depleted squad and needs new players to give his squad a boost.

The 43-year-old is in talks to bring in a striker and a left-sided player and the resignation of Coppell should not affect how he does business in the transfer market, the club`s targets are unchanged.

'I don't think it (Coppell quitting) makes any difference,' Millen told the Bristol Evening Post.

'I'm confident in my ability to do well and I'm confident in my man-management skills.

'I believe players will want to join Bristol City because they will see that it is a well-run club and an ambitious club that is going places.

'Just because Steve has left, does not mean those deals are dead. We are still talking and we remain hopeful.'
