'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fan Article: 'What next for BCFC?'

Good chairman, great potential, what has gone wrong? Poor decision making!!

We've got an inexperienced manager, players who show no commitment to the cause, too many mediocre players and a huge squad! Get a grip chairman and sort it out.

Recruit a tough no nonsense, experienced results-oriented manager now to sort this team out. Millen is a good number two, but not a number one. Insist on a smaller but better squad.

Get the priorities right. The stadium is important but not if we are relegated. Act now, or else the spirit (and the team) will sink further.

Football is a tough, no nonsense business. Sentiment doesn't matter... only results. I am afraid it is going to cost you more money but if you don't get it sorted NOW your current investment will reduce in value substantially!

Although Millen did well after GJ left the club, he is proving now that he has not got what it takes to be the man in charge, I agree fully that his ultimate role is a number two at the club (no toilet jokes please)

That's harsh. Millen's on a hiding to nothing picking up the pieces of this mess but the blame lies firmly at the door of Lansdown. Why haven't we got more directors on the board to challenge his opinion? He's got countless managerial decisions wrong (Tinnion, Johnson's 5-yr contract, Coppell, Millen) but somehow he's not accountable cos he puts the money up. We can't just keep changing manager. We need a football man on the board to help a chairman with these decisions. He's a great businessman but terrible football man.
