City linked with swoop for Grant

City are being linked with a move for Southend central midfielder Anthony Grant, according to media reports on Friday.

The 23-year-old former Chelsea youngster is the Shrimpers top-scorer this season, with five goals from the middle of the park.

And with City boss Keith Millen possibly looking to strengthen the creativity from engine room, Grant could be a target having impressed against City in the first round of the League Cup in August.

Barnsley, Doncaster, Reading and Swansea are all thought to be monitoring Grant, who has 18-months left on his current contract at Roots Hall.
