Williams To Stay At Colchester Longer

Colchester have extended the loan spell of Bristol City`s Tommy Williams by another month.

The defender was due to return to Ashton Gate after Colchester had taken on Leyton Orient on Tuesday

But his performances have impressed the powers that be at the club and he also scored his first goal in six years when he hammered home a 30 yard free kick against Bournemouth.

Manager John Ward said to the U`s official site: 'Tom has been a good addition to the squad in his time with us so far.

'He provided good cover while Marc has been out with injury and I still feel he has a role to play with Marc back to fitness.'
