'If It's Football, It's Vital'

ITV Apologise For Missing Action

TV viewers will have noticed that ITV West Country made a bit of a pig's ear of the filming of City's match with Sheffield Wednesday.

Wednesday's second goal from Neil Mellor was missing completely from the highlights, as was the cross for Gary Teale's opener.

Some would argue that it was a good thing if you are a City fan, but not so much if you follow the Owls.

An ITV West Country spokesman said: "We have spoken to the camera operator involved in filming the match on Saturday and he admits that he temporarily lost concentration.

"He deeply regrets that he missed Sheffield Wednesday's second goal and he is especially disappointed because it is the first goal he has ever missed.

"We apologise to both clubs for the inconvenience caused."
