Haynes completes Barnsley switch

Danny Haynes has completed his transfer from City to Barnsley, signing a two-and-a-half year deal.

The 23-year-old leaves Ashton Gate for an undisclosed fee, 18-months after joining from Ipswich Town.

Boss Keith Millen said: "Barnsley came in with an offer which worked for the two clubs.

"Financially, it's a decent offer so the club accepted it. He still had another year left with us and I was happy for him to stay and fight for his place in the side, but he was happy with the opportunity to move.

"His form hasn't been as good as it has been before; he knows that and we know that."

Haynes scored eight times in 54 appearances for City.
