Summer talks planned for Caulker

City are planning to have talks with Tottenham in the summer over the possibility of keeping defender Steven Caulker next season.

The 19-year-old has impressed at the heart of a pourus City defence this season and is expected to be loaned out to a Premiership club next term.

But Millen is not giving up hope of bringing the England Under-21 international back to Ashton Gate next year and admits he has already told Tottenham counterpart Harry Redknapp of his wishes.

"I've told them I'd love to keep him and I'd love to buy him," Millen told BBC Radio Bristol.

"We'll discuss things, but they'll probably be thinking to get him some Premier League experience. If that happens there's nothing you can do."

Caulker has started 30 matches for the City so far this season, keeping 10 clean sheets scoring two goals.
