Adomah signs new deal

City winger Albert Adomah has penned a new three-year contract to remain at Ashton Gate until the summer of 2014.

The 23-year-old joined the Robins from Barnet for £140,000 last summer and has enjoyed a sparkling debut season in the Championship.

And, hot on the heels of landing Vital BCFC's Player of the Year award on Monday, Adomah revealed it was an easy decision to renew his contract with the Robins.

"I'm absolutely delighted with how the season has gone on a personal level," the Ghanaian born winger told bcfc.co.uk.

"I want to keep improving and my aim is to play in the Premier League, I hope with Bristol City. It's a big club and that's why I've committed to this new contract.

"I also hope to play internationally with Ghana. That's where my family are all from, it's my homeland and there would be no bigger honour than playing for my country."

City boss Keith Millen was equally ecstatic at the decision of his young winger and hopes he can build on a superb first season next term.

"It's a reward for the season Albert has enjoyed in his year at Championship level," Millen told bcfc.co.uk.

"He's had a fantastic season and deserves this new deal for all his hard work this year. Now it's important he continues to enjoy his football.

"It's important we tie up our key players and he's certainly been one for us this season."

Adomah was an ever-present during the 2010/11 season, bagging nine assists and five goals.
