Millen Monitoring Spence Situation

Millen Monitoring Spence Situation

Bristol City boss Keith Millen is keeping a close eye on developments at West Ham, as his pursuit of defender Jordan Spence hots up.

The England Under-21 star excelled during a three month loan spell at Ashton Gate before being recalled to help out with their relegation run-in.

But after Avram Grant was sacked on the back of their relegation last weekend, Millen admits that any talks with the Hammers have had to be shelved for now.

"Everything is up in the air at West Ham at the moment and with regards to Jordan, I don't know whether that is a good thing or a bad thing," Millen told the official website, www.bcfc.co.uk

"As I've said before, we are monitoring the situation and we would be interested in speaking to Jordan if there is a chance he will be available."

Any club looking to sign Spence would be required to pay a compensation fee as the player is under-24.
