City announce Baggies friendly

City will be taking on West Brom in a pre-season friendly at Ashton Gate in July.

Former Robins boss Roy Hodgson will bring his side to take on the Robins on Saturday 30 July (3pm).

The game will be the last pre-season game before the season begins a week later on 6 August and manager Keith Millen is looking forward to the game.

He told the Bristol Evening Post: "West Brom like to play open, attacking football and it should be a good game for the fans.

'Roy has done a fantastic job and they have had a great first season back in the Premier League.

"I think they will provide us with an ideal test, in what will be our final friendly game before the start of the season.

"We had a good test against Blackpool at Ashton Gate last July, and I'm sure this will be much the same."

City embark on a tour of Portugal between 7-13 July before a run of five regional away games at Plymouth (15/7), Torquay (16/7)Cheltenham (19/7), Yeovil (23/7) and Forest Green Rovers (26/7).
