Hendo considering City future

Bristol City keeper Stephen Henderson is considering his future after interest was shown from 'a couple of other clubs.'

Robins manager Keith Millen has made it known that he does not want to lose the goalkeeper, but his stunning performances for Yeovil Town last season has seen several clubs monitoring his contract situation at Ashton Gate.

Millen told bcfc.co.uk : "Stephen knows we want him to stay and he has an offer from us.

"He's looking at his options because there are a couple of other clubs interested who may be able to offer him regular first-team football."

City have already signed up Dean Gerken on a new two-year contract and David James has indicated he wants to stay for next season.

I'd like to keep Henderson here aswell but it looks like he'll be on his way after Gerken signed a new contract not long ago. Can't blame the lad really as all he wants to do is play football.

just to add............Henderson is a great keeper, and as is now commonplace with Bristol City we're probably going to have to let a good player go because of a lack of opportunities. Quite frankly, I would have offered him a new deal over Gerken, but hopefully we can send Gerken out on loan this season and keep Henderson as a back-up.
