'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Woolford denies Posh rumours

Bristol City winger Martyn Woolford has cooled talk of a possible move to Peterborough United.

The 25-year-old has travelled with the rest of the City squad for a pre-season training camp in Portugal, which left Bristol Airport on Thursday morning.

And the former Scunthorpe star quashed any rumours of a switch to London Road on his Twitter page.

"Just to clarify, there's no truth in it. I'm in Portugal with City."

Woolford moved to Ashton Gate for an undisclosed fee in January, making 15 appearances in the second half of last season.

I like Woolford and I'd have missed him if he did go, well worth keeping in my opinion.

NEW Bristol City signing Yannick Bolasie insisted he has not joined the Championship club simply to make up the numbers. Recruited from Plymouth Argyle for a bargain-basement fee last month, the 22-year-old winger, pictured right, is targeting a place in manager Keith Millen's starting line-up when the Robins open their account against Ipswich Town at Ashton Gate on Saturday, August 6.

I heard that Woolford is very good friends with Maynard and he should be able to make him decide to stay
