Millen Insists. Maynard Stays!

Bristol City manager Keith Millen remained in defiant mood as he stated once again that Nicky Maynard is not for sale.

Leicester have been chasing the striker and other clubs have shown an interest and although it does seem like there will be no more approaches from the Foxes, other clubs may now come knocking after he scored two goals against Leicester on Wednesday night.

But Millen says that no matter who comes in with an offer for the ex-Crewe striker, the answer will be the same....No!

Speaking after the win at Leicester, the City boss said: 'We would react like we have all summer (if there was another bid).

'Nicky is committed to the club. No-one has given us any money anywhere near what we would think about selling him for.

'So there is no decision to be made.

'We want to keep him and he knows that. We have made him a fantastic offer.

'My phone will be off now for the next 10 days and I won't be drinking with Sven tonight!'

If Leicester have supposed to have had a bid of 4.5million refused, just how much will it take to make us sell?

Great result last night against an good, but not a special team. Maynard was class which is why we wont sell him for peanuts and Erikson probably appreciates that now.

He will be sold, no doubt about it. City will start to worry if he doesn't sign and goes for free at the end of the season
