No Approach For McInnes Says St Johnstone Chief

No Approach For McInnes Says St Johnstone Chief

Despite being linked to the manager`s job at Bristol City, St Johnstone chairman Geoff Brown says there has been no approach for Derek McInnes.

McInnes found himself being linked with the job and many City fans have expressed that he is their favourite to take over, it has even been reported that he has been one of the five leading candidates that has been interviewed by Colin Sextone.

Brown however, insists that is not the case. He told the Dundee Courier: 'Nobody has been in touch with me.

'They would know that to officially interview Derek compensation would have to be agreed.

'Everyone has their own ideas but I would have thought that if you were in Bristol's position you would want someone who knows their division and knows the players available.'

McInnes is not my first choice, he has done nothing.
