Maynard Praises Boss After Millwall Win

Striker Nicky Maynard says that the turnaround in City`s fortunes over the past few weeks has been down to new manager Derek Innes.

There is more of a sense of self belief in the side since Innes took his seat in the manager`s office, so much so that there have been ten points picked up from the last five games, something that could only be dreamt about a month or so ago.

Maynard was the scorer of both City`s goals in the 2-1 win at the New Den on Sunday and he believes that the style of play that Innes is using is bringing the best out of the team.

'As a team we're looking miles better and we're enjoying our football and we look a team that's hard to beat,' Maynard said. 'We're so confident at the moment, we don't look like losing.

'We've been working hard in training on the types of runs I make and I know what they're looking for so we're all on the wavelength at this moment in time and we look good going forward.

'The confidence is so high that there's nothing other than a win in our minds.'
