Rumour Mill: Maynard On Everton Radar

Everton manager David Moyes is said to be very interested in acquiring the services of striker Nicky Maynard from Bristol City in January.

Everton need someone who can score on a regular basis and reports have it that Maynard is the ideal option for the Toffees as he wont command a fee in the high millions that Everton cannot afford.

It wasn`t so long ago that Everton were looking at Jermaine Defoe, but Moyes` head has been turned towards the Championship and the goalscoring exploits of Maynard.

City are hoping to get the striker who has seven goals this season to commit to a new contract with the club, but so far there has been no success.

If the Robins were to sell up in January, then they have a valuation of around 6 million that interested clubs would have to match.
