Wilson Heaps Praise On McInnes

Wilson Heaps Praise On McInnes

Defender James Wilson is more than impressed with the way that Derek McInnes has turned things around at Ashton Gate since he took over as manager.

McInnes was a popular choice with fans at City when he was picked to take over from the sacked Keith Millen in the middle of October.

And already City have climbed out of the relegation zone under the leadership of the new boss although they did slip to only their second defeat against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Wilson told the Bristol Evening Post: 'Saturday was the first time I'd started since Blackpool away, which was a horrible experience.

'Everything changed after that game and the difference now is nothing short of amazing. We're playing so much better than we were then.

'Confidence was understandably low after Blackpool but our entire mindset and attitude has changed and we are far more positive as a group now. The lads have been magnificent over the last six or seven games and I'm sure we will bounce back.'
