McInnes Targets Pearson Stay

McInnes Targets Pearson Stay

Bristol City boss Derek McInnes hopes that he can extend the stay of Derby`s Stephen Pearson at the club.

Pearson has been a solid player since coming to Ashton Gate, he arrived in November and has scored two goals from eight appearances for McInnes` side.

The 29 year old`s current loan deal runs out after the game with Millwall on Tuesday night and not only does McInnes want the player for a longer period, Pearson himself would love to stay.

'We'd like to keep Stephen with us until the end of the season and he has told us he would like to do the same,' McInnes told the club's official website.

'Hopefully he can get his situation sorted with Derby over the next few days and then we can tie something up.

'I'm sure we can get something done.'
