New Faces Are A Must Says McInnes

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes says that bringing new faces into the club is most important now if the Robins are to make sure of beating the drop into League One.

With four of their last five games ending in defeat, City are back down in the danger area and they sit just five points away from the drop zone, this is a far cry from when McInnes took over and City had a good burst of decent results. Now it looks like the honeymoon period is over and the scrapping for survival will have to start.

And the boss stressed the need for City to add to their playing staff as time ticks on.

He told the Bristol Evening Post: 'We cannot put what is happening down to not enjoying the rub of the green, it's a lot more than that. I feel we need to bring one or two in and the injection those new players would give us would definitely help.

'We'll continue to work hard to bring in one or two players because it is too important for us not to do that. I've let a few players go and sent a few more out on loan to make way for newcomers.

'I want to add a couple of players and bring a freshness to it all, because I think it will help the other players.'
