City Will Not Make Pitman Red Card Appeal.

After looking over the incident again, it has been decided that Bristol City will not be appealing against the red card shown to Brett Pitman.

City ran out 3-1 winners against Coventry on Monday, but late on in the game Pitman saw red after putting in a challenge on Jordan Clarke with his studs showing.

Manager Derek McInnes originally said that he would give an appeal some thought, but after looking at a recording of the incident, no such action will be taken.

McInnes told the club's official website: 'I thought it was harsh at the time but it certainly looked as though he was a bit high. There will be no-one more disappointed than Brett.'

The striker will now miss the Robins' next three npower Championship games.
