City Have To Settle For Point

City were having a grand old time of it at St Andrews yesterday, they went two goals up early on, but the home side fought back to leave the Robins with just a point.

But it was a valuable one.

Bristol City got their noses in front after 21 minutes through a superb Stephen Pearson strike.

It got even better when Jon Stead planted a second with another great strike.

But Birmingham found their feet just before

he half time whistle when they pulled one back thanks to a deflected effort by Marlon King, and then on the hour mark things were level again when Chris Burke set up Nikola Zigic with an easy tap-in.

The home side pushed hard for a winner in the last third of the game, but in the end Chris Hughton had to make do with a point.
