McInnes Wants To Rebuild Quickly

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has spoken about how he would like his targets in the squad before the pre-season starts.

McInnes has to do some rebuilding to the City squad and he has a bit of money to spend after reducing the playing squad at the end of last season.

It is reported that he is looking for a goalkeeper, a centre half a left back a midfielder and a striker.

McInnes told the Bristol Evening Post: 'In an ideal world, I would like to bring in a few new faces before the start of pre-season training.

'It is important for the fans to see us making additions, because of the stimulus and excitement that creates.

'We have identified and targeted the people we want and are now making a lot of enquiries and talking to a lot of people.

'There are certainly a few deals that could be done fairly soon. I think it is important that we have some of our targets in early, so as we can work with them in training and get them settled in before the start of the season.'
