Ribeiro Hoping For A Chance

Former Bristol City defender Christian Ribeiro is hoping that he may get offered a contract at Scunthorpe after being on a successful loan stint there.

The Wales international was released by Bristol City at the end of last season after failing to hold down a permanent place in the first team, he has two good loans with Scunthorpe and Carlisle.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 22 year old said: 'I enjoyed my time at Scunthorpe and the same applies at Carlisle as well, so they might well be interested, but I haven't personally spoken to them.

'It is very early days still and at the end of the day it depends which clubs are looking for a right-back.

'Money is tight nowadays and the squads, especially in League One, will be smaller, so it is all about finding a club that wants a right-back.

'I enjoyed both loan spells last season and I would definitely consider them should they wish to offer me something, but at the minute everyone is being a little cautious.
