Burnley Target Brett Pitman

Burnley manager Eddie Howe is reportedly interested in signing Brett Pitman from Bristol City.

The 24 year old striker has worked under Howe before when they were at Bournemouth, now he is said to be a target of Burnley who are about to lose Jay Rodriguez to Southampton.

Pitman moved to Ashton Gate for a fee of £800,000 and although he managed 13 goals in his first season from 21 games, he is not starting many games for City at the moment.

Pitman could have gone to Blackpool who had a deal lined up for the striker, but opted instead to go to Ashton Gate.

It is believed that Burnley could pick up Pitman, who is out of contract next summer, for around £400,000.
