City To Land McManus In Bargain Deal

It`s being reported that Middlesbrough could be prepared to let Stephen McManus leave for Bristol City on a cut-price deal.

The Scot is believed to be at the top of Derek McInnes shopping list after he spent a successful loan period with the club last season.

McInnes is already back at his desk and looking to bolster his side at the earliest possible opportunity and is very keen to land the player for a fee believed to be in the region of 150,000.

"We have identified all the positions where we would like to bring players in to get a more balanced squad," said McInnes to the Bristol Evening Post.

"There is a big wish-list of targets that we are working our way through.

"I want a really competitive squad that can challenge. And we know the type of player we would like."
