Young Defender Pens New Deal With City.

Young Bristol City defender Joe Edwards has signed a new one-year deal with the Ashton Gate outfit.

The 21-year-old has made two appearances for City and is tipped to be a name to look out for in the coming season after impressing on loan spells with Stockport County and Yeovil Town.

Manager Derek McInnes told the club`s official website: 'I liked his approach from the outset. At times he was playing out of position but he was just desperate to get games. He was driven and wanted to do well.

'When there is a feeling a player wants to be here then you are always confident a deal can be done."
