Cisse Coming Back?

Cisse Coming Back?

Just weeks after leaving the club to try and look for another, it could be that out-of-contract midfielder Kalifa Cisse may be returning to Ashton Gate.

At the end of the season Cisse said that he wanted to move on, but as the new season nears, the 29 year old has still not found another club.

Now Cisse`s agent has contacted Derek McInnes to see if it would be possible for his client to return.

McInnes has admitted that he had not expected to hear from the player again but he has told the agent that City never wanted him to leave.

Speaking to the Bristol Post McInnes said: 'We've managed to pick up with Cisse and his agent again in the last few days.

'Prior to that, we spoke three weeks after the end of last season and I told Kalifa and his agent that we would like to keep him.

'He said he wanted to explore different options and he was quite within his rights to do so. It is only in the last few days or so that they have been back in touch again and nothing has come of that as yet.

'I think it is certainly worth speaking to him and having a discussion, but whether anything comes from that remains to be seen."
