Cisse Now Unlikely To Return To Ashton Gate

Out-of-contract Bristol City midfielder Kalifa Cisse will be going on tour with Bolton Wanderers as he looks to impress boss Owen Coyle while on a trial.

There was talk not so long ago about the player returning to Ashton Gate after being unable to find a new club and City boss Derek McInnes was more than willing to welcome him back.

Even now, McInnes says that there is always the possibility that things may not work out between the Trotters and the Mali international, but he is not holding his breath.

He told the club`s official website: 'I had a call from Owen at the weekend to say they'd be taking a look at him and that was backed up by communication from his agent.

'The door isn't closed to him here at Bristol City but it's looking increasingly likely we won't be working with him next season.'
